Whitehall Lane

Rutherford - Napa Valley, California

80ha located across eight prime vineyard properties are the cornerstone of premium wine production.

Although the winery was founded in 1979, it wasn’t until 1993 that the Leonardini family took control updating the winemaking and barrel aging program and introducing a scientific approach to the vineyards which are all farmed utilizing sustainable green practices. Each of the historic vineyard sites having been selected for their gravelly-loam soil, best suited for Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, along with some Merlot and other Bordeaux varietals.

Current winemaker, Jason Moulton, joined the team in 2016, primarily because of their commitment to sustainable traditions. With an extensive background in making wine around the globe for 12 years, including stops in New Zealand, Bordeaux and the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia, Jason has immersed himself in the nuances of the estate vineyards, energized the winemaking team and elevated the quality of the wines. However, Whitehall Lane remains ‘affordable’ in the realms of Napa Valley, and these are delicious wines to accompany a dinner with family and friends.
