Turley

Napa Valley, Amador County, Paso Robles, California

By focusing on old vine vineyards, Turley aims to both create and preserve California’s unique winemaking culture.

Turley makes 50 different wines from 50 different vineyard sites spread across California. Many of these “old vines” date back to the late 1800s and by farming organically Turley preserves these incredible sites. Old vines are a precious part of California’s heritage, and while others choose to rip out these vines for Cabernet Sauvignon, bringing the winemaking close to the vineyards is their way of controlling and protecting the small yields of these amazing sites.

Tegan Passalacqua is their winemaker and brilliant vineyard manager.  He has the unenviable task of overseeing all these vineyard sites as well as the 3 winemaking facilities that are in Paso Robles, Amador County and Napa. The gnarled, head trained vines continue to be dry farmed, producing tiny yields of highly concentrated grapes. Turley’s wines are much sought after and provide such an incredible accompaniment to a great meal with close friends.

“Old Vines / Young Love.”
