Mosole is in the Lison-Pramaggiore DOC that straddles a significant proportion of eastern Veneto but also the western reaches of Friuli. This is a region steeped in history, where wine production predates Roman times, located a short drive northeast of Venice. Lucio Mosole is incredibly proud of his city and each of his labels feature a local landmark of Venice and the surrounding area. Recently, Lucio opened a shop in the heart of the city realising a dream he has had for many years.
The estate is 30ha in size and surrounds an old farmstead. The soil and special microclimate allow the wines to express themselves in harmony with their surroundings. Typical of the region, many varieties are planted, but of course, Pinot Grigio is the king. Lucio’s expression is a complex, clean, bright wine and what Pinot Grigio should taste like.
