'Our wines are a direct reflection of the Azcuénaga Vineyard, our single source for all our small-production wines.'
FVP is the story of two families brought together by love and a shared passion for wine. It began when Celia, from Mendoza, Argentina, whose childhood was spent helping her grandfather make wine in the backyard with her brother Juan Pablo, met Shawn, a Buffalo, NY native whose own wine journey started with a college tasting club. In 2011, the Vicentes and Pearces founded FVP with the purchase of the historic Azcuénaga Vineyard. Our commitment is to crafting high-quality, single-vineyard wines that express their origin in Lunlunta, Mendoza.
The vineyard was originally planted in 1988 with Sauvignon Blanc by Don Bernardo Weinert, founder of Bodegas y Cavas de Weinert in 1975. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc followed in 1990. The legendary winemaker Don Raúl de la Mota, credited with Argentina's first varietal wines (1960s) and first 100% Malbec (1977), crafted wines from this site until 1997. Familia Vicente Pearce proudly took ownership in 2011.
