We are honoured to share that Clos du Val Winemaker, Carmel Greenberg, was recently selected as one of the top winemakers in the world by the Global Wine Masters, a series of competitions run by industry-leading publication The Drinks Business.
The Clos du Val Yettalil 2021 earned a Master medal at the Global Cabernet Sauvignon Masters 2024 - the highest possible award in the competition. The wine was recognized for its "intense colour, aroma and palate, with characters ranging from cassis to raspberry and dark cherry, then bay leaf and plum, followed by creamy chocolate, vanilla and toast. While the core is rich and ripe, the finish is fresh and dry, with a lingering note of cedar, as well as dense mouth-coating tannins."
A beacon Clos du Val's winemaking ethos, Yettalil is the fullest expression of the Stags Leap District Estate. A blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is support by Cabernet Franc. Merlot, Malbec and Petit Verdot.
