65 Restaurants in 16 Canadian Cities

Dine Out. Do Good. Restaurants for Change 2016

On October 19, 2016, more than 65 restaurants in 16 Canadian cities will join together to donate proceeds from dinner service to Community Food Centres Canada. Funds raised will support local Community Food Centres and other organizations in low-income communities that offer healthy food and empowering food skills programs that build health, hope, and belonging. The event will also drive awareness of the need for bigger food systems change in Canada.

Participating in the event is easy: Diners visit www.restaurantsforchange.ca to find a participating restaurant near them and make a dinner reservation for October 19.

More than a dozen chefs from participating restaurants across Canada flew to Toronto on September 26 and 27 to tour Toronto-based Community Food Centres and launch the Restaurants for Change initiative with Nick Saul, president and CEO of Community Food Centres Canada, sponsors, and participating restaurants.

About Community Food Centres Canada: Community Food Centres Canada (CFCC) believes healthy food can be a transformative force in low-income communities. We support and create vibrant, food-focused organizations and programs that bring people together to grow, cook, share, and advocate for good food for all. For more information, please visit www.cfccanada.ca.

The Vine salutes our restaurant clients who have committed to donating proceeds from an entire evening's service in support of our communities.
