Senete is the 'Cru' bottling of the tremendously popular Falanghina from La Guardiense. This aromatic, richly-textured white wine is a selection of the top half-dozen vineyards each vintage - encouraging the members of La Guardiense to produce the best fruit among their peers. Located in Guardia Sanframondi, La Guardiense is 85 km north of Pompeii, and the complex soils of the vineyards in their region of Sannio contribute to the reputation for the most distinctive, high-quality Falanghina.

90 points – David Lawrason, WineAlign.com
"Here's a quite full bodied, fleshy yet dry southern Italian white with fairly generous aromas of vaguely tropical/pear fruit, fresh herbs, fennel and subtle spice. Well balanced and enlivened by some spritz, with some heat and nutty bitterness on the finish. Very good to excellent length."

3 Glasses (Tre Bicchieri) – Gambero Rosso 2018 Guide to Italian Wines
"La Guardiense is one of the most dynamic cooperatives in southern Italy, undergirded by 57 years of winemaking history, 1000 members, and 1500 hectares of vineyards. Six hundred of these are planted with Falanghina, the core of their activity. It is made into different versions, all of them vinified in steel to enhance its character. Many of the processes in the cellar are carried out under the watchful eye of Ricardo Cotarella, including sulfite-free wines and the 1000 project. Yields are kept particularly low to increase the quality of a wide range of wines. Divided into for lines, Aglianico is the second most important variety. The 2016 Falanghina del Sannio Janare Senete exhibits a classic profile, with an original and close-focused smoky note, aromas of Mediterranean scrub and yellow peaches, plus a marked tanginess on the palate. Its acidity is well-integrated and leads to an assertive finish."
